I love the story when they were dating and Kay broke her leg and Brendan went to visit her in the hospital. Instead of bringing her flowers or candy he brought her a LIBRARY BOOK!!!

I always felt like a son to both of them.

Really.....just simply listening to Kay and Brendan tell any story was always fun. Because it was always the TWO of them telling the story.....one could never finish the story without the other adding color commentary or lovingly correct the details.

Screwdriver! “No, Brendan, it is a tool, not a drink,” says Kay!

So many memories of Kay helping our families through illness and death of our loved ones.

I felt very special being invited to their wedding because only the older cousins were invited. We thought we were pretty special.

Brendan pouring grout down the tub that hardened and had to call a plumber to replace the pipes. Kay was a "little" upset but what a trooper.

How about the time on your cross country trip he forgot to close the container on the roof of the car and all the clothes ended up on the highway!

Given your advanced education, it was great to spend time with you in your other life on Cape Cod. You are the classiest "trailer trash" people we have ever known.

My memory (and I know it would be my one of my late Dad’s memories too AND perhaps your Mom) is at the campground when your Dad was cleaning up brush around his site.
He was sitting with a bundle of brush trimming them into smaller bits WITH A CHAIN SAW!!!
He nearly lost his thumb when he waived the chain saw across the brush but sliced his thumb nearly off!
My Dad put him in the car and rushed him towards the hospital.
They got pulled over by a trooper on route 6 for speeding, but then got a police escort the rest of the way once the trooper was aware of the situation.

There was the time that Brendan was mailing his Christmas cards. But first he cashed his teachers check and put it in Bank envelope. Not only did he
mail the cards, he mailed his money. Thank goodness his brother worked in the Post Office. The called Woburn and they said the money was flying all
around the place.

Brendan, myself, and Dick Carter returning from the Barnicle in Marblehead from a slight disagreement with some other diners, where Brendan broke his pinky on his left hand, "You can't tell Kay and I can't go to the
Emergency room because she will find out." Dick and I were sworn to secrecy. The secret was good for about 25 years..Again, Kay is an angel.

No one knows that Brendan has been practicing for years for the Coney Island Hot Dog Speed Eating Contest . . . and Kay continues to protest against that speed eating!

I grew up so proud of my Uncle the goalie who

In emergency need of a computer while visiting in Salem, I call Brendan and Kay and reach them, in California. But Brendan tells me how to break into the West Terrace home, Kay tells me where I can find her computer, Kerry helps me figure out how to use it, and I meet my midnight deadline with minutes to spare.... and we got the grant!

Uncle Brendan and Aunt Kay came to Chelmsford in celebration of Jane and my birthdays and cooked Chinese food for us and all of our friends

My early childhood traumatic event was with Kay and Brendan. They had taken us into Boston to see Peggy Flemming and the Ice Capades. On the way home on the T, I had to go to the bathroom..... and unfortunately didn't get off the train in time. I can still see the line of pee streaming down the Blue Line.

I can’t think about all my summers down at Airline Mobile Home Park on Cape Cod without the memories of Kay, Brendan, Meghan and Kerry also spending the summers down there at the camp site next to ours

How about the time the Walsh family got their new trailer. The Sunday your father packed up to go home, took his shower, put on his White slacks, white
shoes and headed to the dump station to empty the trailer’s holding tank. When he got there, he did not know that the hose connected to the holding
tank. He thought that he had to hold it. When he held it to the tank, he told Kay to open the lever. When she did, the force of all the waste forced the
hose to let loose and all the waste ended up o Brendan and his white pants. Kay’s remark was “At least you kept your mouth shut!”

Kay brought such calm and comfort to Jim, and to our whole family, during his cancer sickness. He trusted her.

I remember the first time we met Aunt Kay at Sunday dinner at grammy's house. Everyone was very excited to meet her.

50 years later and Brendan and Kay are still each other's best friend and true love. Their love has grown and strengthened every year of their marriage. Thanks for showing us all what true love is all about! Congratulations on 50 wonderful years.

Brendan driving Kathy and I to St. Elizabeth's in Brighton, after a blizzard, for her to have our first baby, Michael. Figured I had to say something nice about him after the previous snipets.
